We had to clean our table before being seated, really? Food particles were all around the chair! Such a shame! The water dispenser had lot of rubbish next to it. Ridiculous to the core, this is what went wrong from start:ġ) This place is very unhygienic. I must say I was quite exited to visit a South Indian restaurant in the US, I wish I did not choose this place. If it was not for the owner & my past relationship with this restaurant, I would give it one star and call VA health inspection on them for other reasons not mentioned in the review ( that we always overlooked due to our good old memories that were attached to this place). Lots of other new choices to explore in the Nova area. Will not repeat, won't recommend to anyone after the bitter experience we had. If my wife was not with me and it was not our typical laid back Sunday brunch, I would really educate this guys on being civil/ fairly mannered and on learning 101 of customer service. I don't think that I will ever step back into this place, not because they served us old -cold dosa at first but because of this employee (skinny/ short/ dark guy with oily hairs) who takes their orders. We had driven from south riding all the way to Vienna, as we didn't want to try new restaurants in the area, as this has been our dosa favorite for past 15 years. Sad to see my favorite restaurant going in the hands of D*GS. He rolled his eyes and gave us the nastiest attitude without saying anything. He brought the dosas and I thanked him for the hot dosas. After 10 minutes when our dosas were cooked he simply screemed something and waved his hand to me as to come & take a look a look at the dosas coming out of pan. I could hear him screaming/ laughing on us in the kitchen with other employees. Luckily, the manager/owner came out and took charge of the situation and addressed the situation by asking him to remake the dosas. I was really aggravated but I stayed polite and asked him to look at it and if that's something he would feed to his family/ friends. I said simply issue me a refund or get me new hot fresh dosas that you should have served in the first place. The guy said that it got cold by the time you took it to your table, and asked what do you want me to do with a nasty attitude and tone. I told him about the situation and requested him to address it simply because I was not going to eat old pre-made dosa. I reached out to the skinny guy on the counter who was busy watching videos on his phone. When my wife asked me to say something about it. I have introduced this place for authentic dosas to over 100 people during the. They have the best dosas that are healthy ( not too much oil & Grease) and everything tastes great and fresh.
